Estelle called Wiser Interiors with a new roof skylight that had been installed. The skylight while bringing in lots of light to the house was also bringing in a lot of heat in summer months. The client wanted a blind that could help reduce the heat issues presented and also looked aesthetically pleasing in her room.
After discussion with the client and addressing the size of the skylight the client decided that the best solution was a motorised wire free skylight blind.
We decided that the most effective solution was a pleated fabric skylight blind with a battery operated motor that could be used with a remote control.
The lithium battery of the motorised blind lasts for approximately 10-12 months and can then be easily recharged. The motorised blind effectively reduced the heat coming into the room while also being easy to use, quiet and aesthetically pleasing.
